About the Author

Hi Folks,

The most frequent Question I get asked , especially from children, is "Are they real ?" and the answer I give is "Yes" !

Adults ask the same Question with a "nudge nudge wink wink", as they would if asking about whether or not Santa visited me at Christmas.

When I met Arthur, the old man we met on the deserted beach who originally told me the story, I admit, I didn't believe a word of it, until I saw that little badge and the wild seagull that just flew in from the sea and lobbed on his shoulder. I know now that the story he told was a true account of his first experiences with the "Tingle Folk" because I've been out with Arthur into the bush and seen these creatures for myself. Whether you believe it or not is not important. What is important is the realization that our forests are alive and breathing with zillions of critters all interdependant on each other in a balance that has taken since the beginning of time to create.

I told my children the story and they urged me to write it down so that you can also hear about these little people that live in the forest in a twilight existance between the real world and that of spirits. Learn about some of their magical powers and their rapport with the native animals. How they strive to protect and preserve the balance of nature and battle the invading ferral intruders that threaten the timid and vunerable. Their enemies, the mischievous "Granite People" who are the spirits of the granite hills, looking just like boulders, that lie in wait to ambush the unwary. The evil renegade "Tiger Snake" that raids the nests of the "Blue Wrens" and the "Wedgetail Eagle" that saved the day.

I don't know of any other story quite like this, Its a real Australian folk tale based in a remote forest wilderness.

Thank you for visiting our website.

Regards

Will Taylor
